If the shop jig, bracket or tooling fixture must stay stiff and hold dimension, order CF PETG, not plain PETG. The CF PETG card is black carbon-fiber reinforcement for stiffer functional parts. The numbers are the catalog. PETG: heat deflection 70°C, impact 32 kJ/m², flexural 64 MPa, print 230–250°C, bed 70–85°C, 18 colors. CF PETG: heat deflection 76°C, impact 28 kJ/m², flexural 78 MPa, print 240–260°C, bed 70–85°C, 1 color (black). Heat moves from 70°C to 76°C. Flexural moves from 64 to 78 MPa — that is the stiff shop line. Writing PETG on a stiff fixture does not turn the color card into the carbon-fiber card.
CF PETG sits in the engineering family as the indoor stiff PETG option. Plain PETG applications list functional parts, fixtures, containers and high-volume OEM. The split is whether the buyer needs carbon-fiber stiffness off the printer on a shop fixture. Impact moves from 32 to 28 kJ/m² — the CF grade is the stiffness grade, not the tougher-on-drop grade. White glass-fiber stiffness stays on GF PETG. Outdoor UV stays on ASA or CF ASA. The grade name is what changes the order line.
Color count is not the same job. Plain PETG stocks about 18 colors for general OEM. CF PETG stocks black on the carbon-fiber card. Pick the grade from the stiffness requirement, then take black from that card.
