Near 110°C heat cover: order PC, not ABS

PC high-heat cover beside ABS housing in Foshan

If the electronics cover, industrial housing or impact part must hold near 110°C heat — not the usual ABS housing band — order PC, not ABS. The PC card is polycarbonate for high-heat and high-impact engineering parts, black and white. The ABS card says heat resistant and sandable for housings and fixtures. We sell FOB Foshan. The factory is in Foshan, Guangdong, next to Guangzhou.

The numbers are the catalog. ABS: heat deflection 87°C, impact 39 kJ/m², flexural 62 MPa, print 230–260°C, bed 90–110°C, 2 colors. PC: heat deflection 110°C, impact 55 kJ/m², flexural 90 MPa, print 260–300°C, bed 100–120°C, 2 colors. Heat moves from 87°C to 110°C. Flexural moves from 62 to 90 MPa — that is the near-110°C cover line. Writing ABS on a cover that must hold near 110°C does not turn the ABS card into the polycarbonate card.

PC sits in the engineering family as the high-heat option. Plain ABS applications list housings, automotive-style parts, fixtures and post-process parts. The split is whether the buyer needs catalog heat deflection at 110°C on a cover or housing that sees more heat than ABS’s 87°C band. CF ABS stays the stiff indoor ABS option when the RFQ asks for carbon-fiber stiffness, not for 110°C. Outdoor UV stays on ASA or CF ASA. The grade name is what changes the order line.

Print window is not the same job. ABS prints 230–260°C with bed 90–110°C. PC needs 260–300°C and bed 100–120°C — an enclosed printer is the usual shop setup for this card. If the nozzle or enclosure cannot hold that window, stay on ABS for the housing band and do not write PC on the PO. Pick the grade from the heat requirement, then take black or white from that card.

Qianshuo is the company. QSENCE is the filament brand. Own compounding, 20 extrusion lines, 500 tons a month, in Foshan next to Guangzhou. 1.75 mm, tolerance ±0.03 mm. Private label. FOB Foshan. If this grade has not been printed on the buyer’s machine: 1–2 sample rolls, then the usual 50 kg.

Order check: cover or housing must hold near 110°C → PC. General ABS housing, sanding or acetone fine, heat in the 87°C band → ABS. Indoor stiff ABS → CF ABS. Outdoor UV → ASA or CF ASA. Nozzle or enclosure cannot hold 260–300°C → stay on ABS. The grade has not been printed here → samples, then 50 kg.
