If the gasket, wearable or flexible functional part needs middle Shore flex — not the softest cushion — order TPU 90A, not TPU 85A. The TPU 90A card is balanced 90A for gaskets and wearables. The numbers are the catalog. TPU 85A: impact 120 kJ/m², print 210–240°C, bed 40–60°C, 3 colors (black, transparent, grey). TPU 90A: impact 120 kJ/m², print 210–240°C, bed 40–60°C, 8 colors including transparent. Print and bed ranges match. Impact matches. The Shore name is what changes the order line. Writing 85A on a middle-flex gasket does not turn the soft-touch card into the balanced gasket card.
TPU 90A sits between soft 85A and firmer 95A. Plain 85A applications list phone cases, dampers, soft-touch and cushioning. The split is whether the buyer needs a part that still flexes but holds a gasket seat better than ultra-soft 85A. TPU 95A stays the firmer seals-and-wheels option when the RFQ asks for 95A. The grade name is what changes the order line.
Color count is not the same job. TPU 85A stocks 3 tones for soft-touch runs. TPU 90A stocks 8 colors on the balanced card. Pick the grade from the Shore requirement, then take the color from that card.
